Yoga, Meditation and Chakras

The goal of Yoga is union through identification with the whole, which signifies a growth in consciousness; but also contains special postures for the physical body and the regulation of our breath. There are many ways of Yoga, such as the yoga of knowledge, the yoga of devotion and the yoga of action. These methods which are practiced with discipline in Yoga all lead to the same goal, which is to discover our True Essence and to experience our True Nature. This is inherently implied in the word Yoga itself which literally means: union with the Source. This allows us to experience that we are spiritual Beings in a physical world.

In our workshops we will not only discuss yoga and meditation, for we shall pay particular attention to their practice. We can do many exercises to enliven our subtle chakras or energy system and to increase the alignment of the chakras with each other.

Vedic Science

Vedic Science offers an inexhaustible source of wisdom that contains practical methods that help our growth towards unity. The ancient Veda’s and the Vedic literature provide us with a blue print of the creative process and narrate what the relationship is with our own consciousness. Our consciousness, when completely at peace, proves to be the source of all diversity found in creation. It is the field where the knower, the process of knowing and the known merge into Oneness. The Veda’s relate in a systematic manner and in many various ways how we can experience a higher state of consciousness. Vedanta describes and declares the ultimate experience of “I and Creation are One”, Aham Brahmasmi.

Vedic Astrology

Vedic Astrology or “Jyotish” is one of the most important limbs of the Rig Veda. The word Jyotish means ‘inner light’ and refers to the Light that sustains the whole universe. In the Upanishads we are told that even when all of the lights in the world, such as the Sun and the Moon are extinguished, the light of the Self will remain and will always be a guideline and an inspiration that leads the human being to his higher goal. What is so special about Vedic Astrology (like each part of the Vedic science) is that it is a science that can be studied and practiced in a systematic way.

Traditionally Vedic Astrology has been regarded as the eyes of the Veda’s; the eyes of pure knowledge, through which the entire creation can be known and understood.

Ayurveda

The principles of Ayurveda’s holistic approach to health care are universally applicable. Ayurveda considers the human as a unique being and has as its goal to restore or maintain the harmony between all of its aspects (spirit, body, behaviour and environment). The means hereby are completely natural and almost inexhaustible. Harmony and happiness are the natural effects of a healthy diet and a healthy life style, with due consideration for each others specific characteristics and talents. In the Ayurvedic approach many purification methods are used, and they all serve a higher goal. Without the application of Ayurveda in humans and nature, world peace will remain an impossibility.
